Record-Breaking Fleet Set for the 2026 Dubai to Muscat Offshore Sailing Race

The 33rd edition of the iconic Dubai to Muscat Offshore Sailing Race (D2M 2026) is shaping up to be one for the history books, with 24 boats already entered and expectations of over 30 boats on the start line, including 10 multi-hulls, a record-breaking fleet for the event.

Organised by the Dubai Offshore Sailing Club (DOSC) and the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation (UAE SARF) and supported by Oman Sail, the Oman Maritime Sports Committee and Marina Bandar Al Rowdha, the D2M Race remains the region’s most challenging and prestigious offshore sailing competitions. Covering approximately 360 nautical miles across the Arabian Gulf and down the spectacular Omani coast, the race continues to attract both seasoned offshore racers and adventurous newcomers alike.

“We’re thrilled by the level of enthusiasm for this year’s race,” said David Worrall, Race Director. “With more than 24 confirmed entries already, we’re on course to see the largest and most competitive fleet in the race’s history that underlines the interest in sailing and marine water sports in Dubai and across the region.”

DOSC also extends its sincere thanks to one of this year’s race sponsor, Montegrappa, the legendary Italian brand renowned for its craftsmanship and style. Montegrappa will be providing all prizes for the race, adding a touch of luxury and prestige to the awards ceremony in Muscat. The title sponsor for the event is Aramex, with support from Beneteau and Elcome

The Dubai to Muscat Race stands as a true test of seamanship and adventure, and 2026 looks set to be its most exciting chapter yet.

Entries remain open, but with the start line quickly filling up and mooring space in Marina Bandar Al Rowdha limited, sailors are encouraged to secure their place early for what promises to be a landmark year for Middle Eastern offshore sailing.
