Elcome named as Safety Partner for the 2022 Aramex Dubai to Muscat Offshore Race

Elcome, the leading marine technology systems integrator, is confirmed as Safety Partner for the upcoming 2022 Aramex Dubai to Muscat Offshore Race (Aramex D2M). The 29th edition of Aramex D2M is set to depart from Dubai Offshore Sailing Club (DOSC) on Saturday, 5th February.

The longest offshore race in the region for modern keelboats and multihulls, the Aramex D2M covers over 360 nautical miles around the Musandam Peninsula in often challenging and turbulent conditions. Having evolved extensively since its inaugural event in 1992, the Aramex D2M can be found on most sailors’ bucket lists. Every edition of the event attracts skilled sailing teams keen to compete across different Classes – all of whom are equally determined to cross the finish line at Marina Bandar Al Rowdha in Muscat in record time.

Elcome is supporting the event as safety partner and assisting the race committee boats and some of the contesting boats with chart plotters, Automatic Identification Systems (AIS), Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRB), VHF Radios, navigation maps, visual distress signals, life rafts and safety equipment to ensure the safety of boats and sailors.
