Hi,

I'm looking to be part of a crew for the D2M, to experience the race, hand-on sails and live a unique experience with a crew.

I've been several time on boat trip (motor & sailing) from my home place in France, Atlantic Ocean side (LES SABLES D'OLONNE, Vendee)

I do practice many water sport activities for long time such a surfing, kitesurfing, diving, swimming, and foiling.
Saying wise, I spent 3 weeks in a raw on a catamaran last summer time in Polynesia in holiday with my family but as well as crew member with a professional skipper, where we were linking islands to islands other several days sailing.

Dedicated to become a skipper since then, I gained Competent Crew certification (Dec 2022) and taking up Day Skipper in Feb and March.

Hi ))

I am a novice in sailing but where I lack in experience I make up in heaps of enthusiasm and commitment to the ocean and the sailing )

My first time on a boat was in March 2022, since then I had been on a few races at DOSC, which was prior to taking up Start Yachting and Competent Crew courses, so the scoop of things I was allowed to do was minimal. I since gained Competent Crew certification (Dec 2022) and taking up Day Skipper in Feb and March.

I appreciate that D2M is a serious full on race and its a long shot for a freshie little sailor to gain a place on it but long shot is still a shot 🙂 and if you take a chance on me, gonna do my very best and it ain't no lie, If you put me to the test, if you let me try!

Holiday Cruising on a cat in Croatia. I didn`t do much as 10 out of 12 party were experienced sailors, but I observed a lot - Sept 2-22, 7 days
Few pursuit races in Dosc (probably 5-6) doing what I am told on winching, roping, some driving with tiller and helm, spinnaker drop over the summer 2022

Dear Skipper or Boat Owner,

My name is Clair and I am looking for a crew member spot on a boat for the D2M race and the return. If there is an opportunity to Skipper then I am happy to carry out that role.

Currently I am working on the passage plan as it’s an interesting exercise but, it my contribution of being part of your crew plus I am a great believer knowing your exit route regardless of your position on the boat.

Brief sailing background….
I have been a DOCS member since 2010 and sailed on a variety of crafts from 22ft up to 42ft keelboats.
I’ve been part of a boat deliveries from Croatia to Athens, Lymington to Lezadriux and Muscat to Dubai to name a few.

In terms of tickets, I have power boat 2, Day Skipper, UAE boat licence. In January I’ll have my Sea Survival cert too. To date, I have logged about 2,800nm.

I currently crew/skipper S/Y Searenity on a regular basis.

Ever since i can remember my grandfather had a sailing boat in the north sea out of Belgium, we would often go during the weekends. I soon joined the sea scouts in Brussels until I moved to Dubai in 2003. I went to high school here and took some sailing lessons at JASC. After having studied abroad I came back to the UAE to work for flydubai as a pilot in 2014. Soon after we became members at DOSC a bought a Beneteau first 20.

2019 - skipper on a lagoon 440 in turkey 10 days
2020 - skipper on a sun odyssey 449 in croatia 2 weeks
2021 - skipper on lagoon 400 in greece 10 days
